Arctic Circle Race

Arctic Circle Race is a trail race in the heart of the mountains, where participants are flown by helicopter to the start at Guijaure and run approximately 18 km along the Arctic Circle back to civilisation. The race combines adventure and competition and offers the choice of a helicopter transfer or hiking to the start independently. The course is technical and varied, with narrow trails, rocky slabs and a short but steep climb called “the Wall”. Arctic Circle Race 2026 takes place on Saturday, 8 August, and prices are listed separately for participants with and without a helicopter transfer.

Optional helicopter transfer (with or without helicopter). Share a helicopter by registering several participants at the same time — sequential bib numbers and the same start time. Check-in, parking and helicopter pick-up at Camp Polcirkeln, Polcirkeln 3, 93894 Arjeplog. Timing is done using a chip integrated into the bib. First aid and staff are available at the water stations, and a helicopter is on standby for serious incidents.
