Billingen Trail

We invite you to running experiences at Billingen. This year, the start and finish will be at the Stadium in Billingens recreational area. The long course is just over 47 km with approximately 930 meters of elevation gain. It takes you around the northern part of Billingen with beautiful trails along the mountain edge. As a runner, you will experience a varied terrain such as deciduous forest, mountain ravines, meadows, coniferous forest, and in several places, stunning views of the landscape. The surface varies from easy to run on, with about 6 km of asphalt and some more demanding sections.

The medium course, 21 km, runs on the northern part of Billingeleden and reaches about 500 meters above sea level. This course goes on mixed trails, meadowland, and roads.

Our shortest distance, 12 km, measures just over 200 meters of elevation gain and runs on trails of varying difficulty and shorter sections of road.

47 km, at 10:00 at the Stadium, Billingens Fritidsområde Skövde. 21 km, at 10:45 at Björnasäter, Lerdala. Buses depart from Billingens Fritidsområde at 10:05. 12 km, at 11:30 at the Stadium, Billingens Fritidsområde Skövde.

Finish:

At the Stadium, Billingens Fritidsområde Skövde. All finish lines are at the stadium.

Start/finish for the 47 km at Billingens fritidsområde (Stadium). 21 km starts in Björnasäter, Lerdala (about 12 km from the stadium) and participants are bused out - the bus is included in the registration fee and departs from the southern end of the stadium (visible from the secretariat and finish line), around 10:05 after the 47 km start. Course markings: orange pennants and arrows as well as Billingeleden's orange marking ("B") for 47/21 km; 12 km follows Trollstigen's blue markings. The surface varies from easy to more technical sections; there are also shorter asphalt sections (~6 km). Videos and photos from previous years are linked on the page.
