Bunketorp Backyard Ultra Trail

Bunketorp Backyard Ultra Trail is a "last-man-standing" race in the Backyard Ultra format where participants run one lap of 6,706 meters every full hour until only one runner remains. The course in Bunketorp, Lindome (south of Gothenburg) runs entirely through forest terrain on well-trodden trails without asphalt or gravel, offering varied and hilly terrain. The race is organized by IK Uven and has a personal, family-like setup with good service for both runners and accompanying persons. The start for the 2026 race is on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

The organizer offers changing rooms with showers and saunas, at least seven toilets (including portable ones), 3 - 5 participant tents, and space for personal tents. The secretariat handles bib numbers, valuables, and results; there is a staffed energy depot throughout the race as well as basic refreshments for spectators. First aid supplies and a defibrillator are available at the venue (no trained medical personnel). There is no age limit; participation is at own risk. Race rules: laps are one-way, participants must be in the start corral at each full start and notify the secretariat if they finish the race. Prizes are awarded to the top three women, men, and best team (3 runners). Participants start every hour and must complete a lap within the hour; total 6,706 meters per lap; 120 starting places; Silver Ticket for 2026; results reported to DUV; energy station, fluids, hot food at certain times, changing, toilets, showers, and sauna.
