Cityvarvet

Cityvarvet is a shorter, 4.3 km version of Göteborgsvarvet. It starts at Götaplatsen and takes you along Avenyn to a spectacular finish at Slottsskogsvallen. The race is a festive event with large crowds, music and cheer stations along the course, and is suitable for beginners, fast runners and families. We recommend that children up to 13 years old run with an adult. As a runner, you have access to the Runner Zone at the finish for recovery, snacks and drinks.

Distance: 4.3 km. Maximum 1,500 registered runners. Registration is open until 12:00 on race day (2026-05-23). Bib and start-card collection: pick up Thursday–Saturday, 21–23 May, at the Göteborgsvarvet Expo at Friidrottens Hus (Thursday 11:00–20:30, Friday 10:00–21:00, Saturday from 09:00). Two water stations on the course. Children up to 13 years old are recommended to run with an adult. Maximum 1,500 participants; start time 13:00; bib collection at the Expo (Friidrottens Hus); bag storage at the start until 12:30; water stations along the course; electronic chip timing; maximum time approximately 50 minutes; transport and expo information is available on the start-card page; changing facilities are not provided.
