Gränsö Trailrun

Gränsö Trailrun is a running event in Gränsö Nature Reserve outside Västervik, offering technical and scenic trails, coastal rocky shorelines, and some of Sweden’s finest oak pastures around Gränsö Castle. Choose between 8 km and 15 km on well-marked courses, or let the children take part in Gränsö Kids Trail (up to age 12). The race offers both timed participation and Fun Run without timing, and encourages an enjoyable experience in nature—why not combine it with a spa visit at Gränsö Castle? Welcome to experience the Västervik archipelago at its best.

The event center opens at 09:00 at Gränsö Castle. Start times: Gränsö Kids Trail 10:15, 8 km 11:00, 15 km 11:15. The first finishers are expected at approximately 11:35, and the finish closes at 13:45. Courses are marked with hanging red-and-white tape and signs; parts of the course follow existing hiking trails. Surface: mainly trails/hiking paths, with sections of rocky terrain, natural terrain, and short road stretches. Aid stations: one on the 8 km course and two on the 15 km course. All children receive a medal and refreshments after finishing.
