Race description
Hallarydsloppet is an annual running race held on Easter Monday at Hallaryds School. The race is suitable for all ages with distances from 1.2 km for the youngest to 21 km as the main class. The courses mostly run on gravel roads and asphalt stretches through beautiful environments with winding stone walls, meadows, and forests in the borderland between Skåne and Småland. There are also shorter routes of 3.2 km, 6 km, and 9.8 km suitable for both running and walking. The event offers timing, water stations, prizes for the top finishers in each class, and a plaque for all who complete.
Highlights
- 21 km course passes an old stone arch bridge from 1870 with four arches
- The course runs through the borderland between Skåne and Småland with varied surfaces of asphalt and gravel roads
- Several water stations and challenging ascents, including a hill with 25 meters of elevation over approximately 500 meters
Additional information
Number bibs are collected at the school no later than 30 minutes before the start. Changing rooms and showers are available in HIF's clubhouse for women and the school gymnasium for men. Timing is done with a barcode on the bib. Sports drinks and water are served at the water stations. Late registration can be made on the day of the race for an increased fee (50 SEK for adults, no increased fee for youth and walking classes). Prizes are awarded to the top three in each class, and everyone who finishes receives a plaque. The race also includes shorter children’s and walking routes, starting and ending at Hallaryds School. Participants can register via email or bank transfer. The event offers water stations and prize distribution after the race.
