Hornsjön Runt

Hornsjön Runt is a family-friendly running event around Öland’s only inland lake, through beautiful and varied scenery. Organised by Högby IF, it offers distances for children and young people, 5.5 km, 11 km, and a non-timed walking class. The start and finish are at Pensionat Hornsjön, and everyone who completes the event receives a medal. The event combines a long tradition with scenic routes over gravel, sand dunes, forest, and open pastures.

Register by 11 July 2026. Late registration is available through 16 July, followed by the option to register when race bibs are distributed from 12:00 on race day. The non-timed walking class starts between 13:00 and 16:00. There are three water stations along the course, plus refreshments at the start/finish. Showers and changing facilities are available at Högby sports ground. Prizes are awarded to the top three in all classes, with additional prizes drawn at random. Start times: youth classes 15:30; 5.5 km 17:00; 11 km 17:05. The walking class is available over 5.5 or 11 km, with starts between 13:00 and 16:00.
