Koster Trail

Koster Trail is a challenging trail race through Kosterhavet National Park on Nordkoster. The race features a technically demanding course of approximately 15 kilometres, with stones, cliffs and many beautiful viewpoints along the coast. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy craft beer, homemade food and a refreshing saltwater swim. The race is organised by Kosterhavets Ekobod, with a focus on sustainability and care for nature.

The start and finish are at Kosterhavets Ekobod near Västra Bryggan on Nordkoster. There are two aid stations with Koster water and U Sport sports drink from Umara. Race bibs can be collected on Friday from 18:00 to 20:00 or on race day from 10:00. After the race, pizza from Artisan Bread Karlstad and craft beer from Qvänum Brewery will be served. Bag storage is available at the start/finish. There are no shower facilities at the finish. Participants are advised to have personal accident and liability insurance. Travel to Koster can be planned via Västtrafik. A cable ferry runs between Nordkoster and Sydkoster. For 2026, food and a drink of choice were included in the standard entry fee; an option without food and drink cost 950 kr. The race information states a limit of 200 entries, two aid stations and an age limit of 18. Details for the 2027 edition have not been confirmed.
