Kraftprovet

Kraftprovet is a classic city race in the heart of Trollhättan, celebrating its 40th anniversary on 17 July 2026. The course follows the canal through leafy surroundings and varied, hilly terrain, with beautiful views of the Göta älv, the locks and the historic power stations. The race brings together elite runners and recreational runners and creates a festive atmosphere with spectators, music and activities for the whole family. It is organised by Trollhättans IF Friidrott and Trollhättans SOK.

Start and finish at Hansenplatsen in Trollhättan. Race bibs and T-shirts can be collected at the start/finish area from 10:00; collection closes 30 minutes before each start. Names will be printed on race bibs for entries submitted by 30 June. Functional T-shirts can be ordered when registering by 15 May (included for Kraftprovet 11.6 km and Specialprovet; costs 130 kr for the other races). Specialprovet welcomes assistants/guides at no extra cost. Kraftprovet has pacers for 50, 55 and 60 minutes; Fun Run is untimed. Silver medals are awarded for times under 50:00 (men) and 55:00 (women). The costume contest gathers at 15:45, with a prize pool for the best costume. The 40th anniversary features new race elements; Knatteprovet, Miniprovet and the 800 m race are also on offer. This year's T-shirt can be purchased when registering.
