Race description
LjungskileSlingan is a family-friendly recreational run with distances ranging from 300 meters for the youngest to 10 km. The start and finish are located in Ljungskile center, and the course runs around central Ljungskile and Lyckorna, partly along Ljungskile Bay and the promenade. The routes are scenic and only gently hilly, and the event offers a large prize table. The event is organized by Ljungskile Outdoor Club in collaboration with Hälle IF and is held in connection with Ljungskile Day and Lions' flea market.

The event is a community celebration in connection with Ljungskile Day and Lions' flea market, featuring a carnival, music, and activities. Large prize table - the top three in each category receive prizes, and other prizes are drawn among finishers. The race has been held since 1994, and since 2015, Ljungskile Outdoor Club and Hälle IF share the organizing responsibilities. The invitation page states that registration has opened (see the invitation for more information). A kids' run has been included since 2018; LjungskileSlingan also has connections to Ljungskile Day and has a history of varying distances and organizers before Hälle IF took over in 2024. In 2026, the 10 km race will return with a new route.
