Race description
Luleå City Race is one of Northern Sweden's largest and oldest running events, bringing together participants, partners, and spectators for a weekend filled with activity and community. On May 23, 2026, the City Race celebrates its 45th anniversary, and the entire city transforms into a shared arena. The event includes races for all ages—from the Kid's Race and MAX Race for children to half marathons, city runs, and trail races—and is designed as a festival where both runners and spectators are welcome.

The City Race traditionally begins with the Kid's Race and MAX Race. Organizer is StiL Sportcenter (Universitetsvägen C11, 977 54 Luleå). Contact via reception: 0920 - 50 21 20. Opening hours/reception information may vary during holidays. The race offers several distances from short children's races to the half marathon; bib pickup is at StiL Sportcenter, Universitetsvägen 11C; start and finish in Luleå City with spectators along the course; the 2026 anniversary year features new elements that enhance the overall experience.
