Race description
A warm welcome to Småland Adventure Race 2027. After three fantastic years, we’re ready to take on a new challenge and aim for a race that’s at least as good as the last one. Småland Adventure Race is a multisport competition in which teams of 2–4 people use a map and compass to visit all checkpoints (CPs) as quickly as possible. CPs usually consist of a small physical orienteering marker and are marked with circles on the maps. The course will include a number of transition areas (TAs) where teams switch between disciplines. The race will mainly involve running, mountain biking and paddling, along with other adventures. In the three previous races, participants have paddled on air mattresses, climbed, tackled a high ropes course, gone SUPing and run a maze orienteering course. Some checkpoints have been at the top of climbing nets and others in the middle of a slackline, but most are in more accessible locations. We can promise many hours of wonderful adventure! We offer a long and a short class. Provisionally, teams in the long class will be out for 22–26 hours, and teams in the short class for 11–13 hours. In 2027, we’re also offering a Bike and Run class, a recreational class where you’ll be out for just 5–7 hours and take on a few fewer adventures—but still have a great time.
