St Olavsloppet

St Olavsloppet is a unique three-day relay race stretching from Trondheim in Norway to Östersund in Sweden. The race offers two main distance options, StOlav 340 and StOlav 210, with teams running timed daily stages and using GPS tracking. It is a social and challenging competition for teams in various categories, including open teams, corporate teams and club teams. There are drink stations and timed changeovers along the route, and the event is characterised by a great atmosphere and teamwork among participants.

Start groups are based on the team’s running speed, with seeding by the race management. Race bibs must be worn clearly visible on the chest and back, without being folded; otherwise, a time penalty will be added. Changeovers are permitted only at regular and extra changeover points, with timing at regular changeover points. GPS transmitters are attached to the relay baton, which is handed over at changeovers. Teams may hand out their own drinks, but not from moving vehicles. Discounts are available when multiple teams from the same association or company register. Teams can take part in one, two or three daily stages. Categories include, among others, open class, corporate teams, women’s teams and club teams.
