Startmilen (Örebro)

The Start Mile is a recreational race in Örebro suitable for all runners and marks the start of the outdoor season for many. The race offers distances of 1 km for children, 5 km for youth and veterans, and 10 km for competitive classes, with the 10 km also serving as the district championship for Southern Svealand. The start and finish are at Tybblelundshallen near Örebro University, and the course runs on streets in the Almby district. All participants receive a medal, and there are prize ceremonies for different classes.

Number bibs are distributed at Tybblelundshallen from approximately 10:30 on race day. Timing is done with a transponder loaned out at bib distribution and must be returned after finishing. Lost transponders are charged at 800 SEK. All classes except KnatteStarten have timing. Late registration is possible until 60 minutes before the start at Tybblelundshallen for an increased fee and subject to availability. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Prize ceremonies are held for the 5 km at 13:40 and the 10 km at 15:30.
