Sylvesterloppet Göteborg

The Sylvester Run in Gothenburg is a popular 10 km race held on New Year's Eve with start and finish at Heden. The course is flat, spectator-friendly, and runs twice through central Gothenburg, including Avenyn, Ullevi, Gårda, and around Svenska Mässan. The race is a perfect way to end the year for both elite runners and recreational athletes, with all finishers receiving a medal and a chance to win raffle prizes. The start is synchronized for all categories at 12:00 PM with warm-up 15 minutes prior.

Start groups are divided based on expected finish times with intervals of a few minutes. Bibs can be collected in Nordstan and at Heden in the days before the race. Electronic timing with chip on the bib is used, and net time is reported. Registration can be completed up to one hour before the start if the race is not full. Corporate and group registrations are handled via email to kansli@solvikingarna.se. The race takes place in Gothenburg on New Year's Eve, with registration through MittLopp and different categories for various ages and groups. There is also a costume category with prizes, and no changing or shower facilities due to renovations at Heden.
