Vårruset Vänersborg

Vårruset Vänersborg is part of Sweden’s largest women’s recreational running tour and takes place on Thursday, 7 May 2026, with the start and finish at Sanden along Vassbottenleden. Participants can choose between 2.5 km and a certified 5 km course; timing is optional at registration. Teams of five receive a picnic after the finish, making the event social and family-friendly. The event is presented by Marathongruppen in collaboration with Vänersborgs SK and is aimed at recreational runners of all ages, subject to the recommended age limits.

What’s included (individual registration): medal, finish-line bag, Vårruset music quiz and prizes, timing for those who opt in, and a race bib. Team registration (5 people): picnic after the finish, medal, finish-line bag, timing (if selected), and race bib. Recommended ages: 2.5 km: 11 years (7 years when accompanied by an adult); 5 km: 13 years (11 years when accompanied by an adult). Registration is online and remains open until race day, up to 1 hour before the first start. The course is partly paved and partly gravel, and is flat and easy to navigate throughout. Distance options: 2.5 km or 5 km (certified 5 km course).
