Vårruset (Växjö)

Vårruset in Växjö is a fun run for women featuring 2.5 km and 5 km distances around the beautiful Lake Växjö. The event is all about the joy of running and community, and welcomes participants of all fitness backgrounds and ability levels. You can register individually or as part of a team; registered teams receive a picnic after the finish. The event is part of a long-standing tradition dating back to 1989 and focuses on promoting women’s health and creating an inclusive environment for all participants.

Race bibs can be collected at Intersport at Grand Samarkand in the days before the race. Bibs must be worn visibly throughout the race. You can opt out of timing. The event area has a water station, toilets, a café, and a sponsor village with activities. The recommended minimum age is 13 for the 5 km and 11 for the 2.5 km; younger participants may take part accompanied by an adult. Teams consist of 5 people and receive a picnic after the finish. The race is open to everyone, and participants can register individually or in teams of five. Women born in 1994–1999 can also receive free HPV vaccinations on site during Vårruset in Växjö.
