Vårruset (Växjö)

Vårruset in Växjö is a fun run for women offering distances of 2.5 km and 5 km around the beautiful Växjösjön. The race is characterized by joy of movement and community and welcomes participants regardless of training background or level of ambition. It is possible to register individually or in teams, where teams registered receive a picnic after crossing the finish line. The event has a long tradition since 1989 and focuses on promoting women's health and creating an inclusive environment for all participants.

Number bib distribution takes place at Intersport at Grand Samarkand in the days before the race. The bib must be worn visibly throughout the race. There is an option to opt out of timing. The event area has water stations, toilets, a café, and a sponsor village with activities. The recommended age is 13 years for the 5 km and 11 years for the 2.5 km, younger with adult supervision. Teams consist of 5 people and a picnic is granted to teams after crossing the finish line. The race is open to everyone, and participants can register individually or in teams of five. The event also includes opportunities for HPV vaccination for women born between 1994 and 1999, which is offered free on-site during Vårruset in Växjö.
