Västerås Stadslopp

Västerås City Run is organized by Västerås Athletics Club and invites you to a popular and family-friendly running day in the city environment on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The event offers races for adults (including 10 km and 2.5 km), children's races in three lengths, and a Paralympic race for participants with disabilities. There is a team category for four people with a picnic/bag as a prize, activities for children in Vasaparken, and all participants receive a city run medal. The organizer urges early registration as spots for the children's races are limited and have sold out in previous years.

Children's races have three free distances (approx. 200 m, 400 m, 800 m) and are limited to a maximum of 400 children. A team of four people receives a grocery bag from Hemköp Malmaberg (last day to register the team is 31/5), and team members do not have to run the same race. Bib numbers are collected days before the race; bibs are attached with safety pins and worn visibly on the stomach/chest. Friskis & Svettis leads warm-up about 10 minutes before each race; the Paralympic race awards medals and goodie bags to participants. No prize ceremony or timing for the 2.5 km race; honorary prizes for the top three in the 10 km and 5 km races. Companies can book tents (5000 SEK) or beach flags (2500 SEK) via henrik@vasterasfriidrott.se. Registration is balanced (a team of four people receives a goodie bag after finishing). All participants receive a medal and a goodie bag at the finish line. There are water stations along the course and activities in Vasaparken during the event.
