Västervik City Run

Västervik City Run is a 6.2 km city race in and around central Västervik, starting and finishing at Grönsaks- och Fiskartorget. The course consists of two loops of approximately 3 km, with the lap point at Fiskaretorget. The race has been held since 2011 and traditionally takes place on the Monday of week 28, starting at 20:00. It is well established in Västervik and attracts runners of different ages.

The children’s race (Sparbanksloppet) is an 800 m fun run for children up to age 10, with a group start from Fiskaretorget at 18:30. The children’s race starts level with the Stegeholm Castle ruins, by the sun deck and Myntbryggan, and follows the cycle path along Gamlebyviken to the finish at Grönsakstorget. Participants receive a medal after finishing. Bib collection is at ICA Maxi or the race office; advance registration closes on 3 July at 16:00; registration on race day is open from 13:00 to 19:00.
