Växjö Marathon

Welcome to the 32nd edition of Växjö Marathon, presented by VLK. The race runs eight laps around Växjösjön on what the organizers call "Sweden's fastest course." The course is very flat (elevation change approx. 3 m) and mostly paved with about 300 meters of fine gravel; each lap is measured in August 2024. There is also a relay race and a children's race, and the course is marked with lead cyclists and flag marshals.

The course is not closed, which means runners share the paths with pedestrians and cyclists; motor traffic occurs at three points along the course. Each lap is measured (August 2024). There is an option to participate in a relay as a team, and the event also includes a children's race for 2026. The relay consists of four runners each running two laps; the course is open to pedestrians and cyclists and shares space with them as well as motor traffic at three locations.
