Race description
VXO Ultrafest is an ultrarunning and walking festival held in Växjö at the southern shore of Trummen on April 25-26, 2026. The event includes the Swedish Championships in 24-hour running and 100 km ultramarathon, as well as the Swedish Championship in walking with distances of a marathon for men and a half marathon for women. The race courses are flat and mainly consist of asphalt with some gravel sections, providing good conditions for fast and enjoyable races. Växjö Running Club welcomes both previous participants and new runners and walkers to this annual festive weekend.
Highlights
- Flat lap course for VXO24h approx. 820 meters, mostly asphalt with some gravel sections
- The race course for VXO100k and Swedish walking championships (42 km and 21 km) runs around Lake Trummen, approx. 3.2 km per lap
- The competition area is located on open grassy areas at the southern shore of Trummen with space for tents and lap counting
Additional information
Pre Race Dinner Friday 24/4. Lap counting takes place at the competition arena, which has space for organizers' and participants' tents. The event includes ultramarathon, walking competitions, and is held on a flat course with asphalt and gravel, providing good conditions for records and performances.
