Race description
VXO Ultrafest is an ultrarunning and race-walking festival held in Växjö on the southern shore of Lake Trummen on 25–26 April 2026. The event includes the Swedish Championships in 24-hour running and 100 km ultrarunning, as well as the Swedish Championships in race walking, with a marathon for men and a half marathon for women. The courses are flat and consist mainly of asphalt, with some gravel sections, providing good conditions for fast and enjoyable races. Växjö Running Club welcomes both returning participants and new runners and race walkers to this annual festive weekend.
Highlights
- Flat loop course for VXO24h, approximately 820 metres, mostly asphalt with some gravel sections
- The course for VXO100k and the Swedish Race Walking Championships (42 km and 21 km) runs around Lake Trummen, approximately 3.2 km per lap
- The event area is on open grassy grounds on the southern shore of Lake Trummen, with space for tents and the lap area
Additional information
Pre-race dinner on Friday 24/4. The lap area is at the event venue, where there is space for the organiser’s tents and participants’ own tents. The event includes ultramarathon and race-walking events, and takes place on a flat course of asphalt and gravel, providing good conditions for records and strong performances.
