Blodomloppet

Blodomloppet in Karlskrona is a recreational race that raises awareness of the vital importance of blood donation and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Participants can walk, jog or run the 5 km or 10 km distances, take part in the 800-metre children’s race, or enter a special 5 km walking class. The event is open to both individual participants and teams, and concludes with a shared picnic for all participants. The courses are officially measured and approved for competition, and walkers have a separate route to make it possible for everyone to finish together. Blodomloppet is one of Sweden’s largest public health initiatives and attracts many participants every year.

The event offers individual and team registration (maximum 5 people per team). Team members can take part in different distances. Discounts are available for blood donors and ICA members (SEK 40 per person). Large registrations can be handled using an Excel template and a customer page in the registration system. Walkers set off first on a separate route to make it possible to share a picnic after the race. Facilities include changing rooms, toilets, water stations and medical care, and participants can travel to and from the event free of charge. The race is officially measured and approved by the Swedish Athletics Association. Participants can run at the venue or take part remotely between 17 May and 7 September 2027. Race packs include a T-shirt, medal and bib. Discounts are available for blood donors and ICA members.
