Bocksten Trailrun

Bocksten TrailRun is a nature-oriented trail race with the competition center at Öströö sheep farm and courses in Åkulla beech forests. The event offers four distances (5 km, 12 km, 22 km, and Ultra 44 km) through beech forest, spruce forest, lake views, and varied trails. The races are spectator-friendly, have limited starting spots, and participants receive a special medal. Welcome to experience running joy and community in a magical forest environment.

Distance options: 5 km (start at 10:15, 200 spots), 12 km (start at 10:00, 400 spots), 22 km (start at 10:30, 300 spots), and Ultra 44 km (start at 08:00, 100 spots). During the event, only tap water is used (no plastic bottles); Tailwind and juice are available as alternatives. For Vineyard Backyard Ultra, a personal cup/mug is mandatory; headlamp and personal medication are mandatory, and the headlamp must be worn between 20:00 and 07:00. Bib distribution and registration are handled at the start area (times specified in the invitation); for assistance, contact race management at 076-8159678. The summer edition takes place on June 27, 2026, with distances of 5/12/22/Ultra 44 km; the winter edition is held at Öströö Gård with 5/12/24 km and 500 spots, accommodation can be booked via Åkulla Resort with a discount (code bockstentrailrun). The Backyard Ultra race at Ästad Vingård has a 6.7 km course and starts every full hour.
