Race description
Chalmersloppet is a campus festival at Johanneberg Campus celebrating well-being and community. The race welcomes students, staff, alumni, and companies to run, network, and have fun together in the spirit of Chalmers. The distance varies from 3.14 km (including a walking option) up to 9.82 km, and as a student, you participate in all distances free of charge. The event is organized by Chalmers Student Union's Technology Company and includes both competition and activities in a Runner Zone.
Highlights
- Start at Chalmersplatsen, past Teknologgården and up Olga's stairs (alternative route for rolling participants).
- Longer distances consist of multiple laps (2π = 6.28 km and 3π + extra 400 m = 9.82 km) with hills and a final sprint on Sven Hultins gata.
- Finish line passes near Mossen/Chabo and the course goes past Kemigården and along Rännvägen.
Additional information
Runner Zone is held at Geniknölen with activities, mingling, and prize giving. Fysiken offers free changing rooms at Mossen and hosts warm-up sessions before the race. Bibs and T-shirts can be collected at the tent by Teknologgården: Monday 5/11 09:30 - 13:30 and Tuesday 5/12 09:30 - 13:30. Participants start in groups (waves), with options for wheelchair/rolling participants. Students participate free of charge; company spots are available through sponsorship and recruitment opportunities. Distance options include 3.14 km, 6.28 km, 9.82 km, and a walk; start groups are based on participant categories; focus on health and well-being for the entire campus community (students, staff, alumni, and companies); includes arrangements such as Runnerzone and warm-up sessions.
