Häv och Gräv Vikbovändan 2026

Häv & Gräv Vikbovändan is a summer event on Vikbolandet in Östergötland where participants can choose to run or cycle. The main course is approximately 45 km long and runs mostly on paved roads and gravel (about 50/50), with several aid stations and samples from local farms along the way. There are categories for runners, cyclists, duos and children, and the event has a clear focus on local producers and an authentic farm setting. Pre-registered participants receive a collapsible cup (folding cup), which they must bring during the event to avoid disposable cups.

The number of participants in the main event is limited (300). Online registration is open until 4 August; late registration is available from 09:00 in the start area until 30 minutes before each start (if places are available). The children's race (approximately 700 m or 1,400 m) requires no advance registration and is free for participants thanks to sponsorship from ICA (children receive a medal and ice cream). Toilets and showers are available at APPTEK's premises (open approximately 09:30–18:30). The running category is timed, with prizes for the top three women and men; the cycling and duo categories have special rules (helmets are compulsory, e-bikes are not allowed, and duo partners may swap as often as they like but must stay within 100 m of each other). There is a group warm-up before the start. Aid stations offer water and sports drinks; pre-registered participants receive a collapsible cup; everyone receives a medal; the event is not sanctioned by the Swedish Athletics Association; helmets are compulsory for cycling; the start and finish are in a floodlit trail setting; medical staff are on site; image rights rules apply.
