Hammarby Alpin Marathon

Hammarby Alpin Marathon is a unique alpine marathon in the heart of Stockholm, running up, over and around Hammarbybacken. The race consists of 22 laps and is slightly longer than a standard marathon—a microultra that, in the organiser’s words, could also be called Sweden’s probably slowest marathon. The course is technical and spectator-friendly, with the lap point and finish at the shelter in the children’s slope. The event is a festive Advent celebration organised by Stockholm Multisportklubb.

Organiser: Stockholm Multisportklubb. Registration takes place at the lap point/finish (the shelter in the children’s slope). Nearest metro station: Hammarbyhöjden. Start location: at the bottom of the hill, to the left of the lift. Registration is via RaceID, according to the registration page. Registration and finish are at the shelter in the children’s slope; bags can be left at the foot of the hill; a tarpaulin is provided in case of rain; toilets are behind the car park; the right of public access applies; results are published after the race (top 10 faster).
