Helags Fjällmara

Helags Fjällmara is a classic mountain trail race in the Ljungdalsfjällen, held since 1985. The event offers several distances for different levels, from a children’s race to longer mountain trail races, with beautiful views and challenging trails. The start and finish are in the meadow in the centre of Ljungdalen, creating a welcoming race venue for both elite runners and families. The event is organised by volunteers from Ljungdalens Gymnastik och Idrottsförening.

Practical information: registration is open until 16/7 (no on-site late registration); registration for the children’s race is open until 18/7 at 10:15. Participant limits: 23 km 250 participants, 12 km 200, 5 km 150, 3 km 100, 800 m 200. The entry fee includes energy and water stations along the course, a personal cup from Umara (bring it during the race), electronic timing (chip in the race bib) and a medal for everyone who finishes. Showers and a sauna are available after the finish. Registration is binding; transferring an entry and changing category are possible for a change fee of 250 kr (changes are made as instructed by email; the registration page lists both info@ljungdalensgif.se and hej@helagsfjallmara.se as contacts). Competition categories for elite runners, recreational runners and children; registration takes place via raceweb on the website; several distances are available: 42 km, 23 km, 12 km, 5 km, 3 km and 800 m.
