Jernbrukets backyard Ultra

Jernbrukets Backyard Ultra is a backyard ultramarathon starting and finishing at Restaurang Jernbruket in Floda. The race follows a 6.7 km loop, which must be completed in under 60 minutes; the next loop starts on the hour, and the last runner remaining wins—the race continues for as long as the participants can keep going. The course runs through hilly woodland around the Säveån river valley and Nääs Castle, and the organiser plans both day and night running. The restaurant by the station serves as race headquarters, and the organiser highlights good food and an authentic early-summer forest experience for runners and spectators alike.

The race starts and finishes at Restaurang Jernbruket (Floda stationsväg 3), near Floda railway station; the main race is limited to 100 participants. The Backe-Yard option starts at 10:00, with the final start at 15:00 (run as many loops as you like during those hours), and offers blueberry soup, Umara sports drink and snacks. After the race, a wood-fired sauna and swimming are available at The Tannery Club (fee of 150 kr, paid directly to the club).
