John Bauer Trail Run

John Bauer Trail Run is a tough, hilly trail race held from the IKHP cabin on Huskvarnaberget. The race offers several distances (18 km, 10 km, 5 km, and several children’s/youth classes) and runs partly on trails and partly off-trail, with significant elevation gain and technical descents. A special feature is Strutsabacken, where climb times are recorded and the Bergatroll award goes to the fastest ascent. The event is family-friendly, with food and activities at the start/finish, as well as changing rooms and showers in the IKHP cabin.

Late registration is available on race day between 9:00 and 11:00. Race bibs with timing chips must be collected from the IKHP cabin by 11:15 and worn visibly at the front during the race; the chip does not need to be returned. Aid stations are located along the course (with kilometre markers for each distance). Changing rooms and showers are available in the IKHP cabin, valuables can be stored in a locked area at bib collection, and food is available at the start/finish. After finishing, participants are treated to a “troll menu” by the organiser (show your race bib). Hamburgers are served after the race; aid stations are available along the course; changing rooms and showers are available; Startklar insurance is available (175 kr/year); maximum 500 participants; race bibs must be collected from the IKHP cabin by 11:00.
