Kanallöpet

Kanallöpet is an annual running event offering both competitive and recreational categories with distances of half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km. The start takes place simultaneously at 13:00 from three different locations along national road 34 between Linköping and Motala, with the finish at the sports field Bergvallen in Borensberg. The race is organized by Borensbergs IF, OK Skogsströvarna, and Vreta SoMK, welcoming runners of various ages and levels. Buses transport participants from the finish line back to the start locations before the race. Late registration is possible at the start locations with an additional fee.

Number bibs are collected at each start location before the start. Late registration takes place at the start locations between 11:30 and 12:30 with a 50% surcharge on the regular fee. Medals are handed out free of charge to participants up to 16 years old; others can purchase a medal at the finish. Refreshments are available at the finish line. The distance is suitable for both competitive runners and recreational participants, with membership required for the competitive category. Registration is via the web and Swish/bank transfer. The race has a long tradition and attracts around 360 participants annually.
