Karlstad Stadslopp

Karlstad Stadslopp is a popular 10 km race in Karlstad, with something for every runner—from those chasing a personal best to those who want to enjoy the community atmosphere along the Klarälven. The event offers the classic 10 km, a shorter 5 km, and the Karlstad Minilopp and Miniminilopp for younger participants. The race starts at Tingvallabron and finishes in Museiparken; the 2026 edition opens SM‑veckan and will be broadcast on SVT. The organiser, IF Göta Karlstad, welcomes participants of all ages and experience levels.

When registering, provide an estimated finish time for seeding; young people born in 2008 or later and students receive a 100 kr discount during certain periods; a 10 km team competition is available (at least six participants per team)—contact tavling@ifgota.se to register a team; payment via PlusGiro (47 37 91-2), with instructions for the race category and name; gift vouchers can be purchased via PG and notified to info@ifgota.se; participant information (PM) is sent by email and published on the website; After Run and a concert in Museiparken are part of the opening of SM‑veckan; the race is part of SM‑veckan 2026 and will be broadcast on SVT. The race offers 10 km and 5 km, as well as the Karlstad Minilopp (ages 7–12) and Miniminilopp (ages 0–6). Minimum age: 12; dogs are not allowed; walkers with a stroller or rollator may start in the last start group; participation is at your own risk; entry fees are non-refundable; publication of photos on the website and social media is permitted.
