Ölands Marathon

Öland Marathon is an open marathon race starting and finishing at the square in Löttorp. The course is very flat and easy to run, completely paved, offering views towards Blå Jungfrun. The race consists of an inner loop of 2.1 km and an outer loop of 11.2 km, which are repeated three times to reach 42.195 km. The event is organized by Högby IF and is aimed at recreational runners and veteran classes according to specified categories.

Number bibs can be collected from 12:00. Three water stations per lap (approximately 13.3 km) offering sports drink (Umara), Coca-Cola, and water; personal energy supplements must be submitted at least one hour before start. All finishers receive a medal/fossil in Öland limestone; ÖM medals for the top two in each category. Winners in the women's and men's categories will receive a dinner for two at Kalk in Löttorp. Accommodation is available in 4-bed cabins at Högby IP. Water stations: three per lap. The course consists of a 2.1 km stretch in Löttorp followed by an 11.2 km stretch Löttorp - Alvedsjö - Kalmarsund - Gudesjö - Löttorp, repeated three times for a total of 42.195 km.
