Sandbäckens Norrköpingsstafetten

Sandbäckens Norrköpingsstafetten takes place on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, in Folkparken in Norrköping. Teams of four take turns walking, jogging or running a lively 4 km leg each. There are timed and untimed categories, and the race is promoted as an accessible, festive relay for recreational runners and teams. Thanks to HSB, children and young people can take part for free, and there is specific information for schools.

Children and young people take part for free thanks to HSB; schools are encouraged to register (school contact: mikael.grip@lopparrangoren.se). The organiser offers tents and event furnishings for hire through Rent a Tent (booking deadline to guarantee availability: 5 May; contact norrkoping@rentatent.se). The start, relay exchanges and finish are all in the park, creating a lively atmosphere for spectators and the event. Teams consist of four participants; event communications mention a picnic bag from ICA Kvantum Mirum Galleria and a medal at the finish. More than 700 participants and around 180 teams took part in previous years; young people and students participate free of charge thanks to sponsorship from HSB and Fiskeby. More information and registration are available at norrkopingsstafetten.se. ICA Kvantum Mirum provides a picnic for all participants; various sponsors offer tents or gathering areas.
