Race description
Silverleden Ultra is a trail ultramarathon in Bergslagen, held in Hällefors with the start and finish at Hurtigtorpet over the weekend of 26–27 June 2026. The event offers distances of 33 km, 64 km and 100 miles and is promoted with slogans such as “Running joy”, “Both long & gruesome” and “Run. Survive. Brag” — a technical, hilly event for those seeking a tough experience in nature. The 100-mile class is full for 2026. The race is aimed at experienced ultrarunners and runners looking to challenge themselves on rocky, root-covered and hilly terrain.
Highlights
- Technical trails with many hills; most of the longer climbs are in the second half of the course
- Roots and rock slabs that become very slippery in wet weather — trail shoes with deep lugs are recommended
- Aid station at Silvergruvan (approximately 35 km) — option to have poles transported to the aid station
