Sommarro Snabbare

Sommarro Snabbare is a unique and fast-paced running race in the cultural reserve Sommarro in Örebro. The race takes place on a 2.6 km loop in a forest park environment where each lap must be completed in progressively shorter times (first lap 25 minutes, next 24 minutes, third 23 minutes, etc.), making the competition faster with each round. Everyone starts under the same conditions, and the winner is the one who lasts the longest – suitable for both fast runners and those who want to challenge their endurance. There is also a Little Sommarro Snabbare for children born in 2013 or later (one lap, no timing).

Mandatory race briefing at 10:45; warm-up with Nordic Wellness before the start. Timing is done with a transponder around the ankle (number of laps mainly determines placement; in case of equal laps, the time on the last lap decides). Lost transponder incurs an 800 SEK fee. Water/energy drinks (Umara) and energy bars are available, as well as light refreshments. No changing rooms/showers; two public toilets nearby. Parking at Sommarro Värdshus and Lugnets IP; city bus 7 stops at Halltorpsvägen.
