Vårruset

Vårruset in Västerås is a women’s fun run offering 2.5 km and 5 km distances through central Västerås, with the start and finish at Lögastrand. The event celebrates the joy of being active and a sense of community, and welcomes everyone regardless of fitness background or ambition. Participants can register individually or as a team; registered teams receive a picnic after finishing. The event has a long tradition dating back to 1989 and aims to promote women’s health and create an inclusive setting for exercise and socialising.

Race bibs can be collected at Intersport in Livli Shopping Centre Erikslund in the days before the race. The event area has supervised bag drop, a water station and toilets. Picnics can be collected using the team leader’s race bib. Recommended ages are 13 for 5 km and 11 for 2.5 km; younger participants may take part accompanied by an adult. Participants can opt out of timing when registering. Training meetups are organised in several locations ahead of the race. Participants receive a race bib, a finish-line bag and a medal; teams consist of 5 people. The event is open to runners, joggers and walkers. Registration is online. The event is part of the national Vårruset series.
