Six Lakes is a volunteer-organized running event held on August 15, 2026, starting and finishing at Fjällnora Outdoor Recreation Area outside Uppsala. You can choose between a marathon (42 km around six lakes), half marathon (21 km around four lakes), 10.3 km, or a shorter 5.5 km course around Ramsen – all routes are well marked and feature varied forest trails and gravel roads. The race is environmentally friendly (few disposable cups, option to get a reusable cup or Hydrapouch) and offers free direct buses from Uppsala Central Station; the organizers work voluntarily. It is a nature-oriented race where swimming along the course may be possible in warm weather, and the start times are scheduled so that different distances can be run simultaneously by families and friends.

Start and finish at Fjällnora Outdoor Recreation Area. Start times: Marathon 10:00, Half Marathon 10:30, 10 km 11:00, 5 km 11:30. Bibs can be collected at Uppsala Central Station Thursday – Friday before the race from 11:00 to 19:00 or on site no later than 30 minutes before the start. Free direct buses from Uppsala Central Station (fossil fuel-free) and information/timetable are published by the organizer. The race avoids disposable cups – bring your own bottle or get a free reusable cup/Hydrapouch; no free T-shirts but the option to purchase one after finishing.
