Vårruset Sundsvall

Vårruset in Sundsvall is a local event in the national Vårruset tour, taking place on Monday, 1 June 2026, with the start and finish at Hamnträdgården. The event offers two distances, 2.5 km and a course-measured 5 km, and the route runs through the city centre and along Selångersån. All participants receive a medal, a finish-line bag and a race bib; teams that register also receive a picnic after finishing. Participants can opt out of timekeeping when registering, and the organisers welcome both individual entries and teams of five.

Race bib collection at Intersport Sundsvall: Thursday 28 May, 18:00–20:00; Friday 29 May, 18:00–20:00; and Saturday 30 May, 11:00–14:00. A team consists of five people, and team entries include a picnic after finishing. Recommended ages: 5 km from age 13 (age 11 accompanied by an adult) and 2.5 km from age 11 (age 7 accompanied by an adult). There is also a digital option (Vårruset Digitalt), running from 4 May to 4 June, where the medal is sent to participants’ homes; official timekeeping, a finish-line bag, a marked route and a picnic are not included.
