Energiruset

Energiruset is an evening race in Mariebergsskogen, organised in collaboration between IF Göta and Karlstads Energi. The race takes place on Thursday, 5 November 2026, and is family-friendly, with a choice of distances of 2 km and 5 km. The 5 km distance has a competitive category for those who want to test themselves; much of the course runs through woodland, and some sections are unlit. After finishing, all participants are treated to a hot dog by the organisers.

Date and location: Mariebergsskogen, Thursday, 5 November 2026. You can buy a headlamp when registering. Practical information (chip collection and exact start times) will be published on the organiser’s website. A previous race briefing is available as a PDF: https://ifgota.se/files/PM_ER_2025.pdf. After the race, IF Göta and Karlstads Energi will treat participants to a hot dog. The course will be open during the evening for non-competitive participants, who can start within a specified time window. The start times are tentatively around 18:00.
