Energiruset

The Energiruset is an evening race in Mariebergsskogen organized in collaboration between IF Göta and Karlstads Energi. The race takes place on Thursday, November 5, 2026, and is family-friendly with optional distances of 2 km and 5 km. The 5 km includes a competitive class for those wanting to test their strength; the course is largely in a forest environment and some parts lack lighting. After the finish, the organizers offer all participants sausages with bread.

Date and location: Mariebergsskogen, Thursday, November 5, 2026. There is an option to purchase a headlamp during registration. After the race, IF Göta and Karlstads Energi will serve sausages with bread; for non-competitive participants, the course is open during the evening and they can start within a specified time window. The distances are 2 km and 5 km; a headlamp is recommended and can be purchased at registration; some parts of the course lack lighting; tentative start times around 18:00; the course is open during the evening with the option to start between two times; after the race, participants are offered sausages with bread.
