BAMM

BAMM (Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon) is a mountain orienteering competition in the Björkliden/Riksgränsen area, where participants compete in pairs (men’s, women’s or mixed teams). The competition takes place across large areas of unmarked mountain terrain and is geared towards adventure and orienteering in a mountain environment. The event is presented in collaboration with its main partner, OMM, and the competition website includes practical information about travel, accommodation and the programme. The event is aimed at orienteers seeking a challenging competition experience in an Arctic mountain setting.

Practical travel information is available on the website: transfers can be booked from Kiruna Airport to Hotell Riksgränsen (with connections to SAS/Norwegian flights), as well as return transfers. Travel by train via SJ to Riksgränsen takes approximately 18 hours from Stockholm, and Riksgränsen railway station is about 100 metres from Hotell Riksgränsen.
