Kung Björn Loppet

Uppsala Running Club welcomes elite runners, recreational runners, and children of all ages to the King Bear Race - Uppsala's cross-country race with the family at the center. The race is organized at OK Linné's club house and offers several distances (10 km, 6 km, trail run, and children's race). The event now has fixed times, bib number distribution with electronic chips, and prize giving, with the 20th anniversary of the race in 2026.

Bib numbers with electronic chips can be collected at Löplabbet, Dragarbrunns Torg 6 on Friday, September 19 from 12:00 to 18:30 or on race day from 09:00 until one hour before each start (30 minutes before children's races). Those who pick up on Friday receive a 20% discount on regular prices in Löplabbet's store (excluding electronics). Parking is available for a fee; the organizer recommends public transport (bus line 7) or cycling. There are changing rooms and showers with limited space, a kiosk on site, prize giving around 13:30, and a prize draw. Start groups: 10 km has start group 1 (under 50 minutes) and group 2; 6 km starts in a combined group. Members who have contributed at least one work shift can register free of charge via kb.loppet@gmail.com. Water stations, bib number pickup at Löplabbet (Dragarbrunns Torg 6), Swish payment, start times: 11:00 (10 km), 12:00 (6 km), 12:15 (trail); prize giving around 13:30; medals for all finishers; parking for a fee; public transport or cycling recommended; no timing in children's races.
